A quality commercial kitchen stands the test of time

We recently revisited the Pavilion Restaurant in Colchester and were delighted with what we saw there.
Our highly experienced Marigold engineers supplied and fitted a high-quality commercial kitchen at the premises a few years ago, and we were impressed to see on our recent visit how well the owners and staff are looking after the catering appliances.
“When you are running a busy commercial kitchen, we know how vital it is to look after your equipment and to have high quality installations that can stand the test of time and the demands of a 15 or 16-hour working day,” said Brian Marigold, founding director of our well-respected company that provides high-end catering equipment solutions.
The Pavilion was one of our turnkey projects. Marigold Engineers Limited were invited to design the bespoke kitchen layout. After drawing up plans, we supplied and fitted a few combi-ovens, fryers, a plancher, solid tops, an oven range, open rings and chargrill Robarta, hot cupboards and heated gantries.
The premises looked immaculate when we’d finished, and it still looks as good as new today. The restaurant is now one of the most popular eating establishments in the town.
Why it’s a good idea to take out a service plan
We were at the Pavilion to carry out preventative maintenance and gas safety checks as part of their service package.
British law dictates that every employer needs to make sure that all gas appliances, installations, or flu should be checked regularly and maintained in a safe condition.
“Whenever we install a commercial kitchen, we always recommend to the owners that they take out a full preventative maintenance plan,” added Brian.
“You can take out one of our service plans, even if we haven’t installed the equipment. Commercial kitchens that are being used for several hours a day are being pushed to their limits and they should be looked after twice a year. It is also a legal requirement for catering establishments to have a CP42 gas and safety check annually.”
